California and four automakers reach climate deal to bypass Trump

After more than a month of negotiations, the California Air Resources Board and Ford, BMW, Honda and Volkswagen have agreed to reach a fuel economy standard of about 50 miles per gallon by the year 2026. They're bypassing the Trump administration's efforts to roll back stricter regulations put in place by Barack Obama.
