DACA recipients in LA celebrate Supreme Court ruling

The Supreme Court struck down the Trump administration’s challenge to Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA is the 2014 Obama-era executive order that allowed the children of undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S.

The Supreme Court struck down the Trump administration’s challenge to Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA is the 2014 Obama-era executive order that allowed the children of undocumented immigrants to stay in the U.S. and pursue employment for renewable two-year periods. After years of legal challenges, today’s ruling gives many young Angelenos a reason to celebrate.
