Just as Republicans were about to vote in John Boehner's successor, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy took his name out of the race. Republicans are now scrambling to find their new leader and no one is begging for the job.

Hillary Clinton proposes tougher newgun-control measures while Bernie Sanders has a more moderate position. Is the country ready for more regulations? The US ends a training program for Syria rebels as Russia continues to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Todd Purdum (Politico) is our guest host. On the Left is Robert Scheer (TruthDig.com). Rich Lowry (National Review) is on the Right.
