Heading into July, coronavirus is spreading in California, rent is due in one day, and extra unemployment benefits will run out soon. At least 40 million Americans are out of work. Their savings are dwindling or gone. Businesses have not rebounded, and they might not for a very long time. KCRW looks at how this summer is shaping up economically.
