Ruling on Undocumented Children and Mothers in Detention Facilities

Late on Friday a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled that the Obama administration must release all undocumented children and their mothers from detention facilities as soon as possible. Judge Dolly Gee cited widespread and deplorable conditions, and said the ongoing detention of children violated a two-decade court settlement on the housing of immigrant children.
