Nowadays in Vietnam

From the capture of Saigon, which marked the end of the Vietnam War, we fast forward 40 years to the present day. Saigon, now called Ho Chi Minh City, is virtually unrecognizable from how it looked in 1975. It’s a thriving, modern metropolis of nearly 8 million people. And the rest of the country has changed too, from a very traditional communist society where food was rationed, to one that’s more open and westernized. So, how did it get from there to here?
