The International Olympic Committee announced today that Beijing will host the 2022 winter games, making it the first city ever to host both the summer and winter games. The decision seems to indicate a new way of choosing host cities.

Walter Scott was shot while running away from an officer, after being pulled over for a broken taillight. Minor infractions are big revenue generators for a lot of smaller cities, but they often lead to negative police interactions.
