While the mainstream candidates are battling it out in California, Libertarians are gathering in Orlando, Florida for their nominating convention this weekend. Unlike in past elections, however, the Libertarian Party is getting a lot of attention this year. In recent polls, leading Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson nabs 10 percent of the general election vote. With unpopularity high for the major party candidates, could 2016 be the year the party has a real impact on the November election?
