Some environmentalists want Santa Barbara decommissioned oil rigs to stay

The view from the beach in Santa Barbara is not pristine. Dotting the horizon are nearly two dozen oil rigs. They’ve been there for decades. Most locals hate them. Now some of them are being decommissioned and dismantled. But environmentalists want them to stay.
