Jared Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump is working on Donald Trump’s transition team. Kushner comes from a real estate family whose fortune was built by his controversial father. So what’s his role?

Many journalists were not prepared for a Trump victory. Since the election, they’ve done some serious reflection. Now they’re contemplating what’s next for the Fourth Estate.

Four states voted to legalize marijuana on Election Day, but the drug is still illegal under federal law. The Obama Administration has pretty much allowed states to do what they wanted when it comes to enforcement, but that could change under Trump.

Kevin Haah is lead pastor of New City Church of Los Angeles, a non-denominational, multi-ethnic and multi-socioeconomic Christian church. The diverse congregation also has both Trump and Clinton supporters. Haah talks about how he’s leading after the election.

Despite LA’s penchant for dieting, LA Weekly’s food critic says the city is going through a dessert renaissance.
