Hosted by
The ink was barely dry on the US Supreme Court’s Voting Rights Act decision when Republicans began drawing new election laws in states with histories of racial discrimination.  Are these new laws designed for partisan purposes?  Do they discriminate against blacks and Hispanics?  What actions are under way by Attorney General Eric Holder?  Also, just hours before Israelis and Palestinians planned to sit down together tonight, Secretary of State John Kerry appointed a veteran diplomat to shepherd the first peace talks in three years. On today’s talking point, three million Catholics celebrated mass with Pope Francis on Copacabana Beach.  Is the Vatican in for big change?  Will theology stay the same?
