Following World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union western democracy had a resurgence. Currently however the world is witness to a new generation of autocratic leaders and a greater embrace of nationalism. Are we going back to the future and will democracies be able to survive? Bruno Kaufman, the Global Democracy Correspondent at the Swiss Broadcasting Company joins Warren to give his assessment. Through his travels he's talked with democracy activists, independence campaigners, local journalists, Buddhist monks and even heads of state and shares some of their thoughts on maintaining a vibrant society and a robust democracy.
