If the Democrats Take Congress, What Will It Mean for California?

As NPR has been reporting, the Democrats are coming on strong, and there’s a chance that leadership of the Congress may change hands. That means Republicans from Southern California would lose their powerful committee chairmanships. But California also has Democrats in waiting, with enough seniority to get powerful jobs of their own.  Meantime, Governor Schwarzenegger and Democratic leaders broke partisan precedent and joined forces to put Propositions 1A, B, C, D and E on the ballot.  Does this mean cooperation will be the rule next year in Sacramento?
