LA Researcher Has Been Watching Greenland Melt

OMG is a familiar acronym for "Oh, My God." Fittingly, it also stands for Oceans Melting Greenland, a project of NASA. The melting of ice on Greenland is a major component of sea-level rise, a major topic for next week's Climate Change Summit in Paris. Laurence Smith won't be there, but his findings will be. He's Chair of Geography at UCLA, author of The World in 2050: : Four Forces Shaping Civilization's Northern Future," and a leading authority on ice melting in Greenland.
