In Less than Twelve Hours, the Polls Will Be Open

Hosted by

This year's primary campaigns in the City of Los Angeles are setting records for political spending. On the top of the ballot, of course, is the race to succeed Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. The five major candidates for Mayor are City Council members Eric Garcetti and Jan Perry; former council member, now City Controller, Wendy Greuel; lawyer and former talk-show host Kevin James and technology executive and former financial advisor Emanuel Pleitez. We hear from KCRW's Saul Gonzalez on the powers the office has and those that it doesn't, then speak with experts following the race.
