Paying for Roads in the Future

Last year's Los Angeles Auto Show featured green technology. This year's is all about communications technology, and the bottom line is that the car becomes a sort of mobile device, a smart phone. Will a new generation fall in love with cars if they're connected?  What about driving distractions?  Speaking of driving, will California voters agree to double the car tax for road repair? Should all drivers have to pay by the mile?
