After a long, hard campaign by Mayor Villaraigosa, parents and teachers at seven high and middle school campuses provided the votes for his “Partnership for Los Angeles Schools.” The Mayor promised new money and better academic performance, but he’s been criticized for not providing details of how he’ll accomplish what he calls a “historic” new direction.
