PG&E Goes All In for Proposition 16
The state's largest private utility, Pacific Gas and Electric , has spent more than $46 million on Proposition 16. Opponents call it an effort to stamp out public power. PG&E says it's about fair elections. Prop 16 would require a 2/3 vote of the people whenever a city or county wants to start or expand a publicly run utility.
