    RADIO BROADCAST #900

    07-03–26

Fanatic! If you’re listening to the show within the borders of the USA, you’re in place for a major holiday weekend. If you’re east of the Mississippi River, you might be in for some hot weather. Hydration is key and if you’re on the road over this holiday weekend, please be careful. Statistically, it’s not exactly the best time to be on the highway.

There’s a new Dinosaur Jr. album called There Near, slated for release in late August. You can hear a track now at Bandcamp. Sounds great. Can’t wait for the rest. https://dinosaurjr.bandcamp. com/album/there-near

There’s a new live Devo album, released on the amazing Futurismo label. It’s called Nitrous Nightmare Halloween Live ‘75. My copy arrived yesterday. Looking forward to hearing it. Delaney, the label’s owner, had been telling me about this one for a long time. Futurismo is definitely a label you should check out. They always do an amazing job with whatever they release.

Tonight, we listen to a new track by Sleep. You can get more information about it on Bandcamp.

I’ve been in the studio all day, making quick mixes of several multitrack tapes. Basically, an audio notebook. As you can imagine, final results from this kind of thing can often take a long time. We start the work now for releases to be realized several months later. It’s a long game we’re playing here, and preparation is key. Stay tuned.

We have a great show for you tonight, as we start our Fanatic July 2026 programming. The summer is definitely with us, and hopefully you will find tonight’s soundtrack, on the eve of a big holiday, much to your liking. Please stay safe, stay hydrated and STAY FANATIC!!!
