    RADIO BROADCAST #906

    08-14-26

Fanatic! I hope you had a spectacular week filled with music and healthy levels of hydration. Extremely hot where I am. I’ve been doing a thing I’ve come to look forward to. At the end of every day, no matter how much time I’ve spent in the gym or how many hours I’ve been awake, I walk for a minimum of an hour. No music, just my thoughts. Last night, I went for 71 minutes and barely felt it. I put a fairly good dent in the boxes of 7”records and got in some great listening.

Fanatic, tonight we will be listening to our annual Case Of The Punks broadcast. I always look forward to this one. I think summer is the perfect time for all of the tracks we’re playing tonight. All of these bands have stories and their catalogs are definitely worth checking out. Some of the bands like the Machines, are not as easy to locate records of as a band like the Damned. Hopefully, there’s some tracks you might not have heard before or haven’t heard in a long time and your curiosity gets fired up.

We’re already working on our shows for early September. As far as time goes, I’m not looking for things to go quickly as I try to get the most out of every day and by remaining active, or at least committed to something workwise, I can make the most of the time. I will say that I’m looking forward to a break from this heat. It’s going to be roasting where I live for at least a week.

Fanatic, please look at these upcoming events below, and if you’re nearby, come on by. More to announce soon.

    Upcoming:

Sunday, August 23 2 PM at the Skirball Cultural Center, I will be interviewing James Spooner.

Friday August 28 and Saturday August 29, Alicja Trout’s cool collection of posters, flyers and original artwork will be up for viewing at

    Radar615

    516 Hagan Street, suite 100

    Nashville TN 37203

    https://www.radar615.com

The space will be open from 4 pm until 9 pm on both dates.

We hope you have a great night of listening. We will be back with you next week with another show. Until then, have a great week, find shade and STAY FANATIC!!!
