RADIO BROADCAST #917 10-30–26 Fanatic! I hope you had a great week. So far, my favorite days of October were spent in Ann Arbor, Michigan a few days ago. I went to visit my longtime pal Kathy Asheton, sister of Ron and Scott, Asheton. It’s always good to see her. We met at the house she grew up in, which is still in the family. It’s the house where the Stooges first started practicing. It’s pretty damn cool, I must say. Not only was it great to see her and be in Stoogeland, one of my favorite places to be, but the weather in Ann Arbor was amazing. The leaves are turning, and it was excellent to be outside. The night before I dropped in on her, I went out for a long walk until almost midnight, just taking in the cold air. I didn’t want to leave, but I’ve got a lot of things happening that I have to prepare for. In a couple of days, we will start putting pieces of art in the Radar615 Gallery, and getting them up on the walls. We’ve been working on the Cool Evidence event since April and now we’re only days away. It’s going to be a high output/low sleep environment for about a week but I think it’s going to be really good and I can’t express how excited I am to finally be doing this. It was our good pal and sonic ally, Fanatic Denise who told me there was a new White Fence album. It’s called Orange and I haven’t heard any of it yet. How that one got by me, I’d like to say I don’t know, but I do know: I’m old and a lot of things get by me. Anyway, I got a copy and I will get tracks into upcoming shows as soon as possible. I’m a fan of anything Tim Presley does. Ty Segall played the drums and produced it! I‘m listening now. So good. https://whitefence.bandcamp. com/album/orange I have a lot of work to do, so I apologize that these notes will be a bit abbreviated. I had a few meetings yesterday that took a while, adding in traffic, the day went late into the night and today is going to be pretty much the same. If you look below, you will see the gathering of tunes for our last show for October 2026. I tried to make it very October. We end the show and the October programming with one of the greatest songs ever. I hope you enjoyed the shows we put together for you over this great month. I also hope that the month didn’t go by too quickly for you. I did my best to be outside as much as possible. I’ve been very busy and so the month did kind of fly by, but the drive to and from Michigan was extraordinary and I’m grateful to have been able to see the autumn weather there and also in the great state of Ohio. Speaking of Ohio, during one of my meetings today, someone I was speaking with mentioned the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and tossed out an idea about potentially doing something that involved the place. I said that I’d consider it as soon as they induct Devo and the Cramps. Until then, no thanks. We have started work on the November shows, and just my opinion, they’re going to be great. We’re going to start playing some of the bands I saw at Gonerfest, Katie Alice Greer, tracks from Kilynn Lunsford’s new album and more. It’s going to be a great time on Friday nights at KCRW, so tune in if you can. This time next week, I will hopefully have a building full of happy people digging all the cool stuff on the walls. If you can make it, please come by. There’s a great guy in town named Eric, he’s very supportive and was right on board with the event and allowed me to do a brief TV spot. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=5fJr-i9aH5U Nashville Scene Is a weekly paper who has also been extremely supportive. I’m very grateful for the time they spent with me several days ago. https://www.nashvillescene. com/music/coverstory/henry- rollins-radar615-punk- archives-history-exhibit/ article_54f03c9f-850f-4d83- 83e3-c9a0f889676e.html Be careful on the weekend, people can get a little wild out there.
