Fanatic! Good to be back with you. I hope your week was safe and productive. We have, yet again put together a show that you will hopefully find to your liking.
The new Flat Worms 7” is really great. It was the very dedicated and hard working LA based taper extraordinaire Gerhard Lippert who told me to drop what I was doing and listen to this band. He was right, of course. We’ll check out a track from this record tonight.
A few days ago, I talked with Steve and Paul Hanley of The Fall. That was a very interesting conversation. They have great memories. I had a lot of questions for them which they were happy to answer.
I don’t know if this would be in your wheelhouse but I listened to a great box set by a band called Tolerance from Japan. Tolerance is Junko Tange with some guitar work by Masami Yoshikawa. The set consists of the two official albums, Anonym and Divin, as well as the transfer of a cassette titled Dose and an LP of demos. So far, this is my favorite album of the year.
You can read a great review of Anonym by John Olson here.
I hope you have a great weekend. For me, it will be proofreading, writing, music and radio show work, which never ends. Next week’s show is almost ready and it’s a great one.
Have a great weekend, stay safe and STAY FANATIC!!!
