Fanatic! Just my opinion, but on the first day of March Fanatic spring officially starts. While I’m sure the calendar as we know it says different, I’m holding firm! I’m done with winter and I’m ready for something else.

Fanatic! Just my opinion, but on the first day of March Fanatic spring officially starts. While I’m sure the calendar as we know it says different, I’m holding firm! I’m done with winter and I’m ready for something else.

I don’t think tonight’s gathering of top tier tunes is necessarily a “goodbye” to winter but it’s a good mix all the same. We will not be visiting Joy Division again for quite a few months and soon we’ll be starting in on the new Horsegirl album, Phonetics On And On and other new releases as the labels permit.

I’m not sure exactly when they’ll be coming out, but I know for a fact there are some great records to look forward to this year. One of our favorite pals and sonic allies just sent me a batch of new recordings, due out this year. As it is always my policy, not to announce before the artist or band, I must keep this information to myself but I will say that we definitely have another great record to explore whenever the official release date is announced.

If you scroll down towards the bottom of the Lambrini Girls site page, you’ll see a lot of tour dates. By May of this year, if all goes according to plan, they should be in the USA.

Apparently, some of these shows will be done with that excellent Australian band Party Dozen.

Now THAT is a double bill. Wow! Party Dozen’s most recent album, Crime In Australia is excellent. I would recommend any of their albums without hesitation.

We’ve been listening to a lot of music from that cool label out of the UK, Damnably. Here’s their site page on Bandcamp in case you want to check it out.

Next week, get ready to get set for the new album by Escape-ism. It’s called Charge Of The Love Brigade. I’ve listened to it three times now. I believe we’re starting in on that one next week, a day after it’s release on March 7.

Tonight, we have for you what you will hopefully find to be a pleasing mix of tunes, providing a most excellent soundtrack for your party-on weekend.

Keep rocking the jam session and STAY FANATIC!!!
