    Oct 3, 2023

Montreal synth-funk duo Chromeo (Dave 1 and P-Thugg) bring the mirrorball to you with a fast ‘n loose DJ set, spinning their latest cuts ahead of forthcoming LP Adult Contemporary (due Feb. 16, 2024). This means fresh heat like “(I Don’t Need a) New Girl” and “Replacements (Feat. La Roux)” mixing with burners from their extended nu-disco fam like Kiinjo and Flush. Be sure to hydrate before pressing play on this one.

“We always wanted to be the ZZ Top of funk,” declares Dave 1, Chromeo’s more outwardly gregarious half. And he extolls the virtues of Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Spinal Tap for their shared over the top performance style.

“We bring that energy,” he says, “the lights are crazy and we have these metal monoliths…” Witness it for yourself as the duo brings the theatrics to Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego tonight, and grab jam out to Adult Contemporary when it hits shelves early next year.
