Filmmaker Michal Goldman joins Tom Schnabel. Goldman spent two years in Cairo researching and filming her documentary entitled "Uum Kulthum - A Voice Like Egypt." Uum Kulthum was a singer revered in Egypt and popular throughout the Arab world. She was also a powerful force in Egypt's efforts to end British rule. When she died in 1975, 4 million people took to the streets of Cairo for her funeral.
