We’re sending joyous birthday wishes to jazz legend Herbie Hancock, born on this day in 1940. Also born on this day is our own Morning Becomes Eclectic co-host Anthony Valadez so we’re cue-ing up the Sugarcubes classic “Birthday,” to celebrate them both.

Plus, take a twisty sonic adventure with Barcelona’s NOIA and Puerto Rico’s Buscabulla, get dark with electro-gods Overmono, and sample the sweet soul of New York’s 79.5 complete with a feature from Durand Jones.
