Morning Becomes Eclectic Playlist: November 14, 2025
KCRW’s signature music program — defying format since 1977.

You are a regular KCRW listener so it’s implied that you’re not a square, but everyone needs a handful of extra cool points to keep for a rainy day. With that in mind, we give you KCRW’s SiLVA and her brand new mix, “Don’t Be A Square: Music from and inspired by Quentin Tarantino movies.” From The Brothers Johnson’s take on “Strawberry Letter 23” to Dick Dale’s iconic version of “Misirlou” — this is the mix to sweat it out to, and reward yourself with a “$5 shake” when you’re done. Adjusted for inflation, a $5 milkshake is actually kind of a steal. Plus, we’re going deep on the momentous contributions made to popular music by The Band’s Robbie Robertson, as we process the news of the Canadian luminary’s death which broke on Tuesday Aug. 9.
