“Borrowed nostalgia” would appear to be the phrase of the moment here at KCRW, but this time it’s for the best remembered parts of the ‘80s. Get in on today’s MBE which not only features back to back to back classic cuts from New Order, The Human League, and the B-52s (plus new Tears for Fears for good measure), but is also offering you a chance at tickets to check ‘em all out together. Get yourself in the running now to party like it’s 1989 at the Darker Waves fest in Huntington Beach, ON THE ACTUAL BEACH. It’s all happening on Saturday, November 18.

Also in today’s mix: 3D Country, the brand new album from Brooklyn rock band Geese, “Shake it Up” via electro-experimenter The Breathing Effect, and one of the most sampled cuts ever — Esther Williams’ “Last Night Changed It All.”
