Nigeria born, Birmingham based Jacob Banks delights us with another powerful soul drenched single “By Design (Evel Knievel)”, the latest on his own label from forthcoming sophomore album "Lies About the War" out August 26th.
We take it back to 1972 with “20 anos blue” which embodies the beauty and effortless tone of Brazilian singer Elis Regina. One of the most highly regarded Brazilian singers of all time, who reimagined samba and bossa nova classics and is largely credited for the rise of Brazilian pop music, she made a profound mark even though she passed at the young age of 36.
Plus some good ol’ Creedence Clearwater Revival in anticipation of John Fogerty, legendary singer-songwriter and leader of the band, rocking the Hollywood Bowl on July 30th for a night of classic rock and roll.
