South London is currently the “ white-hot hub of DIY music .” We can prove it with one quick spin of PVA’s dizzying display of disco-tinged industrial beats from their recently-released LP, “BLUSH.”

South London is currently the “white-hot hub of DIY music.” We can prove it with one quick spin of PVA’s dizzying display of disco-tinged industrial beats from their recently-released LP, “BLUSH.” We’re also serving up Coltrane reimagined with a West African spirit, and the funk classic that Justin Timberlake sampled for his 2013 hit, “Suit & Tie.”

Plus, two chances to freely bask in sounds beneath the stars at the legendary Greek Theatre are just around the corner. Friday Oct. 28 sees Chilean artist Mon Laferte bringing her alt-pop theatrics to the hallowed grounds, and on Sat. Oct. 29 KCRW Presents NorCal’s favorite (adopted) son, Toro y Moi. We are currently giving away tickets to BOTH shows so enter here for Mon Laferte, and here for Toro y Moi. Put your name in everywhere to increase your odds, but remember you can only win once in 90 days, so play wisely.
