That was the same year that Yanya released her sophomore album PAINLESS, cementing her as one of the UK’s most interesting and thoughtful songwriters — lauded by critics worldwide for crafting a signature sound that’s equal parts ethereal and grungy.

After releasing and touring PAINLESS, Yanya entered a period of transition, between albums, between record companies, between homes… between… everything.
