Across the pond English bandleader, DJ, producer and trumpeter Emma-Jean Thackray is one of the few, at the forefront of the UK jazz scene. She just released her debut album, Yellow with inspiration from Flying Lotus, Alice Coltrane, and Tyler the Creator. At times, the album channels a cross between spiritual jazz, Madlib, and dancefloor ryhthms.
