Juno winning, Palestinian-Canadian indie-folk-artist Nemahsis discusses her acclaimed 2024 LP “Verbathim,” and the music that inspired her as she was making it.

Palestinian-Canadian, poignant-folk-singer-songwriter Nemahsis hit our radar last year with the arresting single “Spinning Plates” from her debut LP Verbathim: Her striking shifts between growl-register spoken word verses and the lilting beauty of her singing voice on the chorus stopped us in our tracks.

And she’s sharing five songs from artists that inspired her to craft her rapturously received record. P.S. Santigold, if you’re reading this, hit her up…
