Alas, all good things must come to an end, and MBE’s week of stellar guest DJ mixes is no exception. But we’re sending you off in the very capable hands of KCRW’s Wyldeflower, and her cosmically inspired mix, “Lost And Found in Sound.” From the subtly stirring beginnings of Alice Coltrane’s “Journey In Satchidananda” (which Wyldeflower thinks of as “musical sage”) to the final strains of Wayne Shorter’s “Wild Flower” (self explanatory) — all nine songs in this mix hold enormous significance for our guest.

"Growing up I always debated on which records I would take with me to a deserted island,” Wyldeflower says. “[I’d] contemplate on the records that could sustain me and provide companionship on this imaginary island... I picked nine tunes to share because nine signifies completion. So we'll listen to jams that complete me, and that would help me feel found even while lost on a deserted island.”

The road to this imaginary island is paved with impeccable tunes, so let’s go…
