Author Téa Obreht was only 25 when her debut novel “The Tiger’s Wife” became a national bestseller. Eight years later, she’s back with her second novel “Inland," which is set in rural Arizona in the late 19th Century.

"Inland" tells two stories. In one, a young outlaw joins a caravan on camels, and he's haunted by the ghosts of his dead friends. In the second story, a woman desperately searches for her missing husband and her sons who went off to find him. At the end of the book, the wife and the outlaw (and his camel) meet in a surreal encounter.
