    The number of families crossing the southwest border has again broken records. Unauthorized entries have nearly doubled since a year ago. Processing centers are filled to capacity. Border agents are struggling to meet the medical needs of detainees. Thousands of migrants are crammed into a detention system that was not built to house them. It seems like the Trump administration’s tough policies on immigration have not been a deterrent.
