    Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced this morning he’s entering the 2020 presidential race, bringing the Democratic candidate count to 12. As an underdog, Sanders had a surprisingly strong showing in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.

    Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced this morning he’s entering the 2020 presidential race, bringing the Democratic candidate count to 12. As an underdog, Sanders had a surprisingly strong showing in 2016 against Hillary Clinton. But the Democratic party has changed a lot in the two years since Sanders made his first run at the presidency. There are more candidates embracing his liberal ideas, and the candidates themselves are more diverse.
