    All the focus on the border wall has taken attention away from the federal government’s efforts to deport the undocumented immigrants already in the U.S. California is trying to protect those immigrants with its sanctuary state policy.

    All the focus on the border wall has taken attention away from the federal government’s efforts to deport the undocumented immigrants already in the U.S. California is trying to protect those immigrants with its sanctuary state policy. But the policy may also have unintended consequences, particularly in the rural farming community of the San Joaquin Valley.
