    The Senate overwhelmingly passed a sweeping public lands bill. It’s big for California. It extends the boundaries of Joshua Tree National Park and Death Valley National Park, and protects hundreds of thousands of acres of land between those two areas. It also designates the site of the St. Francis Dam disaster as a national monument.
