Nine years and $1.5 billion later, the Expo Line extension from Culver City to Santa Monica finally opened to the public Friday. Now that Angelenos can take rail to the beach, what’s next in the grand plan for LA? Will transit really get more of us out of our cars, more of the time?

And after the crash of EgyptAir Flight 804 at sea, the TSA tightened security at major airports. Does the agency really make travelers safer?

Then, how recent updates to California’s K-12 history curriculum reflect the state’s diversity.

Also, director Julie Taymor brings her music-filled stage version of A Midsummer Night's Dream to the screen – for one-night only.

And finally, Nice Guys, Angry Birds, and some bad neighbors are showing at a theater near you this weekend.
