Brian Williams Was Not in an Apache Helicopter that Was Shot Down
Brian Williams of NBC News is taking heat for claiming he was aboard an Apache helicopter that was hit by gunfire and almost shot down during the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. In March of 2013, he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, where he repeated the story.

Now -- on the air, on Facebook and in the military newspaper Stars and Stripes -- Williams admits he was not aboard that helicopter after all.
