After making his name with chillwave, releasing indie rock records, and even dabbling in drum ‘n' bass — Toro y Moi returns with the folk-leaning Sandhills EP. A surprise release to accompany a surprising departure in style, this EP which Toro y Moi’s Chaz Bear is describing as a love letter to his hometown of Columbia, South Carolina is a wistful gem.
Plus, at long last we rip the cellophane off of Mary Jane Dunphe’s solo LP Stage Of Love, and look forward to MUNYA’s Jardin — dropping Oct. 13 via LUMINELLE.
