Did you know that the classic Stevie Wonder cut “Happy Birthday” from his 1980 LP Hotter Than July was recorded as part of the campaign to make Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday a national holiday? Hear it during this edition of FREAKS ONLY as we take part in what’s now a well-established observance. Plus, the latest from Juan Power (Juan Maclean + Man Power) ahead of their EP Another’s Wings dropping later this week, Tkay Maidza’s late 2023 release Sweet Justice, and a brand new Four Tet jam that is making us feel truly “Loved.”
