California no longer takes the hard line on illegal immigrants passed by the voters in 1994 , and that could be good news for more than a million people covered by President Obama's recent executive action.

California no longer takes the hard line on illegal immigrants passed by the voters in 1994. Proposition 187 has been repealed by the courts, and Governor Brown signed its last vestiges into oblivion in September. Now California's more generous than other states, especially when it comes to healthcare, and that could be good news for more than a million people covered by President Obama's recent executive action.

Also, a new poll shows Californians oppose both tuition increases at the University of California and new taxes that might replace them.
