We also help you cook seasonally and sustainably by recommending a few ingredients to buy and recipe ideas to cook with them. Your farmers’ market adventure starts here!

Market Report

Evan Kleiman hit the market this week and spoke with Roxana Jullapat of Cooks County. Roxana is shopping for early autumn mangoes from Markov Farms in Valley Center. This week at the restaurant she is layering diced mango with key lime curd and crushed graham cracker for a tropical trifle.

Andrea Crawford of Kenter Canyon and Roan Mills is known for her lettuces and her local wheat. In addition to selling bread, Crawford is bringing unique small batch products like pizzoccheri, a dried pasta popular in Lombardy, Italy. She also has Sonora wheat pasta, farro and fresh whole wheat berries.
