Jonathan Gold Reviews BS Taqueria in DTLA

The clam and lardo taco in the center of the plate is one of Jonathan’s favorite dishes at BS Taqueria.

<a href="http://www.latimes.com/food/jonathan-gold/">Jonathan Gold</a> is the Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer for the LA Times. This week he reviews <a href="http://www.bstaqueria.com/">BS Taqueria</a>, a modern taqueria in the former Mo-Chica space in Downtown LA. He says that at his best Chef Ray Garcia “seems to try to replicate what it’s like to eat good food growing up in East LA and that’s important. No one has done that before.”

What to order: the “rice and beans” bolsa, clam-and-lardo tacos, cauliflower al pastor, nopales salad, pata verde, and the churros.
