Jonathan Gold is the Pulitzer Prize-winning food writer for the LA Times.

This week, he visits Trois Familia, the third restaurant from Chef Ludo Lefebvre and his partners Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. Serving brunch only in Silver Lake’s former Alegria space, it’s a whimsical take on what Jonathan says is “a three-star level French chef taking a crack at the menu of Taco Bell.”

Recommendations: Try the French Nachos, Churro French Toast and the Croissan’wich.

Location: 3510 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, 90026 | (323) 725-7800

Tip: Expect to wait in the brunch line.
