Then, out of the blue, a few hours ago VICE France premiered this brilliant animated video for a brand new Discodeine single, “Aydin.”
Featuring Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, the track features Piloo’s signature psychedelic chugger vibes with a combination of Disco strings and 80s New Wave 7″ synthline reminiscent of Thomas Dolby’s “She Blinded Me with Science“.
Kevin Parker’s reverby vocals are merman siren song type stuff that play off the menacing groove and give the track real tunnelvision vibes. The Aydin EP comes with a handful of siiiiiick remixes from Para One, Jeremy Greenspan and Timothy J. Fairplay.
