Oddisee is one of those artists who has been on my radar for years, both as a producer and an emcee.

I’ve played many of his cuts on my show, but I think it’s time to spend a little more time talking about what he does.

He has worked with the likes of Jose James, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus and countless others.

Oddisee mixes all kinds of sounds together with crisp of drum sounds. I can tell he his spends lots of time perfecting his kicks and snares.

On many occasions, Oddisee’s previous projects have served as the perfect soundtrack for my travels with his lyrics boasting of the everyman experiences one might enjoy or take for granted daily.

I appreciate his ear in recreating reflective sounds that made the head bop in response.

His new album entitled “The Beauty In All“ takes you on a sonic journey with a total of 12 tracks that read like 12 chapters of a book you just can’t put down.

I expect even bigger things to fall in place for Oddisee with this new release which drops on October 1, 2013.
