MBE Nov. 30: Shuggie Otis, Dionne Warwick, classical x techno

Hosted by and

Need some inspiration? Look no further than the man who sang about it best. On this day in 1953, Shugie Otis was born right here in Los Angeles. We’ll take any reason under the sun to beam the 69-year-old (nice) artist’s “Inspiration Information” into the atmosphere. We’re also bringing you Metronomy’s “Hold Me Tonight” as remixed by Belgian avant-pop star Bolis Pupul, and a masterclass in colliding worlds via Osaka-based producer Takahiro Kinoshita (99Letters), who melds classical Japanese instruments with modern techno. Plus, the incomparable living legend Dionne Warwick is coming to the City National Grove of Anaheim on Thursday, Dec. 15, and we want you and a friend to partake in the majesty. Enter now for your chance, and good luck!
